Swimming and Golf!! Week 17... No chemo!!

Friday August 2nd:
Riley has done AWESOME!!! He has only thrown up 1 time each day, just in the morning!!! He has more energy then I ever expected and by the end of the week has been out in the evening to throw the ball (sometimes while sitting!) and playing in the sandbox!! We have had some fabulous family nights just sitting and playing together making sand castles!! Making wonderful memories!! These are the times when the world stops and we are just happy. Precious precious times like this. I love my family.

 We also got the chance to go swimming with our best neighbor friends in their family's private pool! It was a lot of fun! Even if Riley only swam for 20 minutes!! Thank you Francom's!!

Tuesday, August 6th:
We are sooooo bored.... Riley is doing so good and we are pretty sick of being in the house! So what should we do????
Mini Golf!!

I have this love hate relationship with getting out and doing fun things.... I want us to do things, but most "things" are around a lot of people and so are germs!! However, with necessary precautions,
ie: Lysol wipes, we took that chance!!

I think the boys had a great time because they keep talking about it!!

A side effect of the chemo that we are just now getting is mouth sores and bum sores. It's horrible. Riley has a hard time eating anything that is sour, salty or has a lot of flavor. This does not help out the appetite dilemma!! But it is funny to talk to him because he has sores in between his lips and gums, so he looks like he is chewing, and he has a southern drawl!!
I guess we can't complain to much, we haven't got them in 17 weeks..... I'd say that is pretty good!!

And although his hair is still hanging in there.... well, at least some of it!!.... his eyelashes are almost all gone. His long beautiful eyelashes.... kind of hurts my heart a little bit. Oh well, he's still here and they will grow back.
